American Eating Disorder and Obesity Paradox?

I blame it on the South. I've traveled to Oklahoma, Kentucky, Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi and I've never seen so many fat people in my life and I've also never seen so many steakhouses, BBQ 's, McDonalds, and KFC's either. And statistics show that the southern states have the unhealthiest people in the country and has the lowest form of education. But places most other places don't have as much as a problem because they don't have that culture the South shares like BBQ's and all the fast food. I've also been to Seattle, Steamboat, Denver, Salt Lake, NY, NJ, and states in the northwest and I've never seen so many healthy, in shape, nice people in my life, I really am considering moving to one of those places when I get the time. And of course stereotypes cover the bad parts of a country so that's how we get our rep as overweight pigs is because unfortunately the redneck BBQ culture makes up a third of our country but most other places in America very healthy, probably more healthy people than when I went to Europe years ago.
