Feng Shui Fu Wei direction or Sheng Chi direction?

Hello. I am interested in studying to become an artist. I have some small pieces of art by some of the artists whose artwork I admire the most. I'm wondering if I should put these pieces of art in my Fu Wei (personal development) direction to help me with my study luck, or if the pieces of art should go in the Northwest since it could also represent mentors (also, the Northwest is my personal Sheng Chi [success] direction). I also wonder if it would be best to place photographs of the artists themslves in the Northwest since they are in a sence my mentors?
