How to not look like a loser? Please answer!?

Tommorow I'm going on this feild trip with my homeroom and I hate my homeroom. The bus ride is a few hours. I cant bring an ipod or a cell phone. I dont want to look like a looser sitting alone on the bus looking out the window. How do I talk to these people?!
